Captain Oliver picks up the Moore family from Harbour Island and sets off for their trip.

With the help of Captain Oliver, Matt Moore and his parents catch fish on the flats of Tampa Bay

This was one of the last afternoons Moore had in Tampa, where he lives during the off-season, before heading to Scottsdale, Arizona, for spring training with his current team, the San Francisco Giants, and he wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous weather. “It was by far the most efficient charter I’ve been on,” Moore said. “The captain put us on fish right away, and it was a really nice day out.”

Captain Oliver and the Moore family return to Harbour Island, where Matt Moore meets Chef Mike from Café Dufrain

The captain cleans the fish and delivers it to the chef.

Captain Oliver O’Riordan brought the Moores’ fresh catch to Café Dufrain, where Chef Michael Smith prepared a dish especially for them. See the fish preparation below.
